FATAL BLOG TOUR & REVIEW
FATAL SYNOPSIS
Zombies eat brains: wrong.
Zombies are mindless and unthinking: nope.
Zombies are rotting bags of flesh: not necessarily.
Zombies kill humans: never… well, there is that one exception.
Grayson Patch hasn’t been human since he was seventeen years old… and that was nineteen years ago. When he rose from the dead that night, a Zombie, he had no memory of his former life, a craving for raw flesh, and only one purpose: to find a cure. He wishes only to be human again and he is promised that it is possible. But first he must find the human that can help him before he begins to decompose… and trade her life for his. As he learns more about her, he just doesn’t know if he can do it. Can he? When the cost of being human again is to become a monster?
Cori Abbot isn’t scared of Grayson. Not when there are a million other things for her to worry about. Like being the new girl in a school that is a fraction the size of her old one. Or making new friends while battling her antisocial tendencies. And then there’s the big one: dealing with the recent and sudden death of her father. Yeah, there are bigger problems than the strange, withdrawn, and consistently angry guy who seems to hate her for no apparent reason. Imagine how surprised she is to realize that the ever hostile Grayson might actually be the one who understands her the best.
MY REVIEW
This book was a totally new take on zombies and I loved it! I read it in a day (well, there was some under the covers with my kindle, barely keeping my eyes open reading going on). It was just that good though. The characters grabbed you from the first page and you are hooked. I liked that Cori and Grayson weren’t all sunshine and roses. Cori is upset over her father’s death and at a new school to boot. Grayson is a very unhappy Zombie that ignores everyone and lives in his own miserable bubble. Watching their romance unfold and watching the patience and love in which it does, was awesome. Don’t think it is all romance though… there is plenty of action and lots of interesting tidbits about Zombies and how they manage to live among us. Throw in a cast of awesome sidekick friends, a reaper, and a whole lot of lies that change everything… and you have the making of a great book. I don’t want to say too much because I do not want to spoil it! I am very impatiently waiting for the next book in the series. I urge you to run buy it while it is only $0.99! I give this 5 stars.
AUTHOR BIO
T.A. Brock lives in Oklahoma, where Zombies do not thrive. When not immersed in the world of fantasy writing, she enjoys spending time with her big girl, baby boy, and hubs. Some of her favorite things are coffee (specifically with cream, sugar, and chocolate), music (especially something with a good beat), books (especially paranormal), and Tennis. She despises raw meat and therefore is exceedingly glad she’s human.

Review of ‘Sheol: West of Hell 3′ (Plus 1st book FREE!)
Sheol by Jason Brant
(This for the third book in the series. If you have not read the first book, scroll down to the bottom for a FREE copy!)
Sheol is the third and last book in the West of Hell series. It was the perfect conclusion to a completely different and wild ride. Zombies, prostitutes, and the Wild West ended up being the perfect combination.
I do not even know how to start because I do not want to post any spoilers. The second book left off with McCall sending Karen and Stephen to safety, at the detriment to his own. The third book begins with a shock that makes you glad that the hero is still in the story.
Karen is in jail, with someone in a position of authority that she never would have imagined. Stephen has been taken from her and she is accused of heinous crimes. The town of Sheol has no idea what is coming and Karen is determined to tell them. The “moaners” are coming and this is going to be the fight of the town’s life. No one is safe and nothing is what it seems.
I really do not want to get into any more detail besides saying that this book blew my mind. McCall and Karen reach new depths in this book. It makes them come even more alive and it makes you connect with them in new ways. Jason Brant even brought a few awwww moments into the story. The biblical undertones leave you nervous and second-guessing everything you have thought about the previous books. There are so many clues and hints if you just open yourself up to them. The ending wowed me and I feel privileged to have gotten to read this series.
Quotes from the Book:
“Don’t you know? I’m nothin’ but a hooker. Keeping my mouth open is how I make money.”
“All your anger, all your hate, all your shame at the things you’ve ignored in this town… turn it into wrath and unleash it at the army knocking on your door. This is your chance at redemption – take it.”
“I walked across that fucking desert for you. I’m here, fighting for these people because of you. If you give up on me now, then you’re telling me that everything I’ve done has been for nothing. You were worth it, no matter what happens.”

A review of Jason Brant’s Gehenna
Jason Brant did not disappoint. Gehenna is a book like no other I have ever read. Zombies, prostitutes, and cowboys in the old west…who would have thought of that? Well, apparently Jason did, and boy did he do it well. This book grabs you from the very first page. The characters are well thought out, the ride wild, and the losing your lunch optional, though I almost lost mine.
The very beginning starts off like so many historical romances, believe it or not. The first few pages leave you totally unprepared for what is only a few pages away. The main character, Karen, is introduced as a smart prostitute in a brothel. The brothel owner, Ellis, is berating her for scaring off customers. He tells her, “You got to be the worst hooker I ever had” as well as, “I knew I should have taken those books away from you. Women got no place learnin’ from those things. Nothin’ good comes from it.” You can tell it is all bluster because he treats his girls well, and has a soft spot for Karen. He was actually one of my favorite characters.
I love Karen. She is just my type of girl. She is smart, knows what she wants and will do anything to get what she wants. She does not believe that she has to have a man to survive. She is her own person and she is one of those girls that kick ass.
Most of the characters are introduced in the first few pages and then the excitement starts with screams heard from the street. You know that this is not just some historical romance from then on out. The people in the saloon notice that there are two people eating a woman outside. These people are not just ordinary men as they both had multiple arrows sticking out of their bodies and of course, they are EATING a woman!
Right after that, another main character is introduced. He is ‘Mad Dog’ McCall, an outlaw that is in jail. In this part of the book you realize that guns are outlawed in Gehenna and by then you are really glad you don’t live there. McCall is a great mix of outlaw/hero.
There are also many biblical aspects of this book, but it was like no part of the bible that was ever pointed out to me. I will give you one clue: Leviticus 26:28. You will never think about zombies again in the same way, I promise you that.
I do not want to spoil the whole book but I am going to point out a few things. In the old west, there were no such things as zombies, so in this book they have no idea what in the hell is going on. They have no guns and are totally unprepared for these ‘Moaners’ that are eating and changing everyone. The scenes are so realistic that you will literally shudder with horror when you read them. I have never read such a graphic book, nor have I ever read one that I had to put down while I was eating like I did with this one.
The twists and turns are astonishing. Jason makes you think about the book long after you are done. The ending is like no other. I could not believe it was over with the twist that was just thrown out there at the very end. I am hoping for a sequel or this book is going to haunt me forever. It is just that kind of book. All in all, this book is a non-stop, action packed adventure. It is a must read.
