REVIEW BY CASSIE HOFFMAN:

WITHOUT BORDERS: A Novella

Dr. Kayla Parker is helping with Doctors Without Borders for the past year in Colombia. Her life revolves around those who need help; there is no time for love or just a little fun. She has a title of “Queen Bitch” given to her by all the soldiers around her because of her take-nothing attitude. If only they knew the real Kayla Parker.

Second Lieutenant Liam Young is in Colombia keeping guard for the doctors, patients, and the medicine, but while doing his job, he can’t help the thoughts he has towards Dr. Parker. Can he tell her how he really feels, or is it just better to leave it all to him self?

Kayla sees all the soldiers just like the ones before, only wanting one thing and not doing what they were brought to her station to do. If they aren’t hitting on her, they are cat-calling the local women. Liam has caught her eye a few times, but she knows he is just like all the other. Could she be wrong… and will she stop labeling them all just because of a few bad seeds?

While out retrieving a few packages of medicine at a drop spot near enemy territory, bad luck hits Liam and Kayla. Can being stuck together open both their eyes and see that their previous thoughts were wrong, and if it does, how will the go from there?

Without Borders is a novella. if you are looking for a fast read, this is the book for you. It has everything a good read needs in it, secret crushing, sexiness, a hot solider… and did I say a hot solider? Lol. and who doesn’t enjoy a love story with a bit of steaminess? I know I do! I enjoy books like this one when you can read it in just a short time and be happy with the ending, it doesn’t leave you hanging. The author knows how to write a love scene, and adds just enough to not bombard us with detail. I give this book 4 stars!
